What can I say? 2011 has been a helluva year for the SexWitch and her love relationships. Three of mine have crashed and burned this year, and it's only the end of August.
Yeesh!
There should be a medal for that kinda record, dontcha think? lmfao!!
Hey, it's not like I don't know what the problem is. It's that irritating Alpha/Beta attraction thing that keeps tripping me up and biting me in my cute little ass. *sigh*
Let me explain. In the earth realm the law of "Opposites Attract" operates in everything, including love relationships. Aggressive Alphas tend to be attracted to sweet Betas. Unfortunately for Beta women, many Alpha men become heartless assholes. That means sweet Beta women usually end up the losers in the Alpha/Beta love relationship.
My final try with an Alpha man ended in disaster on July 11. I had already decided last year I was through with Alpha men. They trample my heart with no remorse. But when he appeared in February of this year I thought I would give Alphas one more chance. Oh, well. We all know how badly that ended.
In 2010 I had decided to move to a higher plane in my love relationships. I'd been retraining myself to operate according to the higher metaphysical law of "Like Attracts Like" to attract a sweet Beta man into my life. After the Alpha disaster this summer I went back to my 2010 plan.
The only problem is a relationship with a Beta man feels weird at first because we have so much in common. No "Opposites Attract" law at work here. But it's what I truly want: a man who will be as sweet and loving to me as I am to the man I love.
So I fell for a Beta the end of July. Much to my surprise that didn't work out either. I was happy because he was a sweet guy. But we had too many problems from outside interference, and then he found his Alpha soulmate. Don't get me wrong. I know all about the soulmate attraction. Been there, done that. It's awesome! So I'm thrilled for them and wish them much happiness.
Nevertheless, I'm finished with Beta men. I think the lack of Alpha energy in me is just too confusing for them.
Unless Beta men are aware of the "Opposites Attract" law I'm gonna make them nervous. They'll feel off balance with me. But that's simply because we have so much in common for a change. It might take them a while to realize that initial uneasiness they feel with me is really a good thing. It just means we aren't opposites. Of course, they have to stick around long enough to figure that out, which I'm beginning to realize most won't.
All of this leads me to the conclusion that a Gamma is the right man for this Beta Fey chick. No surprise, since almost all the heroes in my novels are Gammas (part Alpha, part Beta). Okay, sometimes I'm kinda slow when it comes to realizing this stuff. lmao!!
A Gamma man is gonna have the sweet nature I crave, but there'll also be that zap from the "Opposites Attract" energy. You Beta women know what I mean. The minute an Alpha man walks into the room you get an instant panty-melt. Yeah, that kinda ZAAAAAAAAP! The Alpha part of a Gamma man will feel that same zap when I walk into the room.
Cool!
So this blog post is for all the Beta women out there in the same position I'm in: always attracting Alpha men, always miserable with these heartless assholes.
Maybe you'll have better luck getting a Beta man to stick around. Maybe he'll realize the fact you have so much in common is really a good thing because it's what you both want in a mate.
If not, try a Gamma. That's what I'm gonna do.
Although, like I mentioned in my last blog post, this Fey chick is flying solo the rest of the year. My plan is to focus on finishing the new vamp novella first. In fact, I just started the editing process last night. Woot!
However, that doesn't mean I won't be keeping an eye on any Pagan Gamma men coming into my life. I will. Especially one who's a responsible spellcaster. He doesn't have to be Wiccan, but he does need to follow the Rede or have some kind of moral boundaries when it comes to spellcasting. Yeah, I learned that lesson this year, too.
In the meantime, I'll keep you posted on my Gamma quest. You know I will. *witchy wink*

The SexWitch is Flying Solo Again. Weeeeeee!
Wow, what a week. Lots of good news, and it's only Wednesday. Whew! ;)
Guess what? I finished the first draft of the new vampire novella, "A Vampire's Desire: Book Two of the Manigault Vampires," on Tuesday. I started it on July 23 and finished it on August 23, so it only took a month to write. WOOT!
It's longer than I had planned (17 chapters, about 40,000 words). But you know me. I let my characters decide how long a novel or novella should be. This is the story Troy and Ravenmoon wanted to tell. So it is. ;)
Later this week I'll start the editing process on the book. I hope it'll only take four months or so. But you never know with me. I tend to be a meticulous editor.
BTW, this is my first book with an Alpha hero, and Troy is priceless. The heroine, Ravenmoon, is also an Alpha. Actually, she's a fiery Uber Alpha. Uh-oh.
That's right. If these two aren't butting heads over something, they're fucking like wild rabbits. Plus, neither of them wants to be in a serious relationship. Yet they're drawn to each other so intensely it's a scream to watch them use one excuse after another to try and deny this attraction.
But ya can't fight destiny, right?
Get ready. You're gonna laugh like crazy. This Alpha hero/heroine match is a hoot! Great surprise ending, too. *wink*
In other news, the sweet guy in my life is no more. We parted ways on Tuesday as well. He found his soulmate last week, and I wish them much happiness.
As for me, I've decided to take a short break from men and concentrate on this new book.
But when I'm ready to get back in the man-saddle again I've made a few decisions. I've had two disastrous love affairs this year. Yikes! In the course of that I've realized something. My guidelines for a Pagan mate need serious tweaking.
Both of the men I've fallen for this year are not Wiccan. They're hereditary Witches who use hoodoo, voodoo, black magick, etc. I have no problem with that, simply because I believe every Pagan has a certain path to follow, and that's cool with me.
But this Fey Witch is Wiccan. I believe in and follow the Wiccan Rede and the Rule of Three. I also use metaphysics in my spellcasting. That means I don't cast spells against someone's will. I don't cast spells that would harm someone. I don't believe the end justifies the means. Love is my magickal energy and my destiny. I focus 100% on the positive.
I've realized any Pagan man I fall for in the future must follow the same moral creed in spellcasting. Otherwise, I end up in trouble. This week was a good example. I got caught in the middle between two non-Wiccan friends casting angry, harmful spells at each other, while I'm trying to get them to make peace and QUIT that shit! Waaaaay too much drama for me.
Okay, that's all my news for now. But that's enough, isn't it? Especially since all of it happened on Tuesday. Whew!
So this lusty Fey chick is flying free and solo again. Weeeeeeeeee!!! The new vamp novella is finished in first draft, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Plus, I've streamlined my guidelines for the kind of Pagan man I'll allow myself to get involved with next time.
Oops, I almost forgot. I've started painting my fingernails again. Hot pink (of course). Hey, that's important news too, right? *lol*
Yeah, the SexWitch is having a blast, and life is GOOD. Hope your week is freakin' awesome!

How to Attract a Good Man
In my last blog post I told you how to find a good man, especially if you're Pagan.
But that's only half the formula, isn't it? You may know how to find a good man, but that's no guarantee he'll be interested in you.
Bummer! Gotta fix that ASAP. *wink*
Everything in life is energy. This is true regardless of the spiritual path you follow. Even if you follow no spiritual path. Energy could care less. It operates according to metaphysical law no matter what.
Your energy vibration has attracted everything in your life: what you have now, and what you will have in the future. That means if you don't like what you're receiving, you've gotta change your energy vibration.
This is especially true of the men you attract into your life. In fact, that's why I wrote my erotic romance novel "Call of the Witches." Maylene was an awesome woman, yet she was plagued with bad-news men. In that novel I showed how she changed her energy vibration to attract a good guy like Blaine.
To do this you'll be using one of my fav metaphysical laws: "Like Attracts Like." It's a tricky one because it works whether you believe in it or not.
Here's how to use it to work with your goals rather than against them.
Let's say you want a guy who loves you and treats you well. That means YOU have to love yourself and treat yourself well. That's the only energy vibration which will attract the good man you desire.
Take me for example. I just came off my first relationship with a commitment phobic, a man who loved me like crazy, but treated me like shit because his heart is frozen with fear when it comes to relationship commitments.
Everyone knows how much the SexWitch loves and values herself. Duh. Thus, I've never attracted commitment phobe before. So how the hell did I do it this time?
Easy. He appeared in my life at the end of January. That was a real crunch time for me. I'd been working 7 days a week til 4:00am every morning for 10 months, fixing the mess my exagent had made of my 23-year career. I was also working my ass off on final edits of "A Vampire's Kiss." My exagent had put that fab novel almost a year behind schedule.
Basically, I was flirting with burnout and didn't know it.
Yeah, you guessed it. I may have loved myself, but I was treating myself like shit (overworked and sleep-deprived).
Thus, I attracted a man who loved me, but treated me badly.
Don't worry. I learned my lesson. The vamp novel was published the end of April and has been hitting the Bestsellers lists in the Kindle Store ever since. And you can bet this SexWitch has been VERY good to herself. I even took a long-overdue vacation in June.
And this change in my energy vibration explains the sweet, wonderful man who is in my life right now, a man who adores me and treats me well.
Like attracts like.
What's going on in your life? There's no way you're gonna attract a great guy who will love you and treat you the way you deserve if you aren't doing the same for yourself. It just ain't happening.
Change your energy vibration, and you'll change the quality of men appearing in your life. No doubt about it.
Dontcha love metaphysics? It's no wonder I've been a student of these laws for decades. They're simple and easy just like me. I use them every day in every area of my life, including spellcasting.
Go forth and get your good man, ladies!!! Now you know where to find him and how to attract him.
Fine-tune your energy vibration. And if you do it right, he'll never know what hit him.... *witchy wink*

How to Find a Good Man
Hey, I know it's not easy. And most of us have been burned at least once on this quest. But the fact is there are a LOT of good men out there. No, I'm not kidding. It's true!
Anyway, this topic of discussion comes up all the time among my fans/readers/friends, and it did again last night. So I thought I would address it in a blog post.
Here's the good news. If you're Pagan, the solution is easier than you think. There's a really good chance you'll find a good Pagan man at one of the Pagan sites. For example, PaganSpace (http://www.paganspace.net), Witchbook (http://www.witchbook.net), or Pagan-Playground (http://www.pagan-playground.com).
Why? Because of our Pagan faith, which worships and reveres the Divine Feminine, Pagan men tend to have more respect for women than you'll find among many non-Pagan men. Of course, not all Pagan men are like this, but a true Pagan man is. And that's a definite plus.
Now let me qualify this. I'm not talking about the guy who hangs out at a Pagan site and says he's Pagan, but actually he's just a dabbler. You know the kind. They dabble in this and that, divination, runes, tarot, whatever. But they keep no daily ritual schedule. These are also the ones who have no idea when the yearly Sabbats and/or Esbats occur. The worst would be the guy who became Pagan just because he thinks all Pagan rituals are sex rituals, and this means he'll get laid faster. *rolls my eyes*
Yeah, those guys are the posers and pervs. Not the true Pagans.
A true Pagan man is one who practices the Craft. Ritual and magick are so much a part of his daily life that they are his life, no matter what Pagan path he follows. This is the man who marks the dates of the Sabbats and/or Esbats on his calendar so he can plan ahead for his celebration ritual. Big difference.
At most Pagan sites you can segment members by age, gender, and location. Cool, huh?
Ladies, that means all you gotta do is look through the member lists, find the single guys in your age range, see how many of these guys live in your area, and then send them a friend invite. Some will accept, some won't. Send those who do accept a friendly PM, thanking them for accepting your invite. Then take it slow and see what happens.
While you're at it, don't forget Facebook and Twitter. There are hundreds of single Pagan men at those sites as well. I know because I meet them every week, and many are really good guys. Yes, they are!
Okay, one word of warning. Beware of the guy who is a commitment phobic. Unfortunately, they come in all faiths.
I met one this year at a Pagan site, fell for him, and he broke my heart numerous times. From what I hear, most women have fallen for at least one phobe. This guy was my first. But that's because most of the men who come after me are pervs. Pervs are easy to spot and avoid.
But this guy baffled me. I knew he wasn't a perv. I knew he was the real thing. I knew there was a lot of good in him. But at the same time I was knee-deep in red flags. Huh?
That's because, like a perv, the commitment phobic comes on hot and heavy at first. However, unlike the perv, the phobe is romantic. He says everything a good guy says.
You can spot a phobe because he pushes for everything to happen too fast. This guy swept me off my feet so fast he took this Fey chick out of the present moment where she's happiest and dumped me in the future. He kept me off-balance constantly.
However, no matter how hard a phobe pushes for everything to happen fast, it all comes to a screeching halt the moment they actually have to commit to anything. Even something as simple as a first meeting. The commitment phobe won't show up, or he picks a fight so he won't have to show up, or he becomes a Drama Queen, leaving you clueless as to WTF just happened. After a while you'll realize no matter what he says it always ends the same: your heart is broken, and you're alone again.
I'm not saying these guys are a lost cause. I'm just saying they're a helluva a lot of work. Many have great potential, but their hearts are frozen with fear.
So be warned. Become involved with a commitment phobic at your own risk. Some do eventually overcome their fear of commitment and settle down. It just depends on how many years you wanna devote to this quest, how much drama you can handle, and how many times you can survive a broken heart before you can get your phobe to the altar.
If you're a man reading this blog post, my advice applies to you as well. I run into FABULOUS single Pagan women every day at all the sites I mentioned above.
If you're a woman who is not Pagan, my advice also applies. Just stick with non-Pagan sites, like Facebook and Twitter.
Okay, time to make the SexWitch proud! Take a chance this year on finding the man or woman of your dreams. If you're a Pagan woman, look for a Pagan man who is serious about the Craft, one with a sweet personality and a heart of gold.
Let this year be the year you fall in LOVE with a good guy. It can happen! I see it at Pagan sites all the time.
In fact, it happened to me a few weeks ago. It did. A yummy Pagan friend of mine expressed an interest in taking our relationship to the next level. So we did. Yeah, he's one of the good guys and definitely a keeper.
See? If I can find one, so can you. Go for it!! *wink*

Go for it!! *wink*

The Sexy Men in My Life
Wow! A lot has happened since my last blog post four days ago. Must be the SexWitch's life, right? *lol*
First, three awesome 5-star reviews have come out on the "Mama Knows Books" blog for the three novellas in "The Rune Witch Series." That's the trilogy about my sexy shapeshifter, Wynn, and his spunky Rune Witch girlfriend, Noelle.
Here's how that series came into being. I had always loved the sexual relationship between Wynn and Noelle and the way they flirt and tease each other relentlessly. But in "Call of the Witches" Maylene found a book on sex magick in Noelle's bookcase. When she asked Noelle and Wynn about it they kinda dodged the question. Hmm. I wanted to know what that was all about, so I wrote the first novella in that series "Sex Magick," which actually contains a real sex magick ritual/spell for prosperity.
The series grew from there until it became a trilogy. And that's all I'm gonna say about this erotic series. I don't wanna spoil it for you if you haven't read it yet. But I will say each novella in this series gets hotter and hotter. Whew! Well, we are talking about Wynn and Noelle. *wink*
Here are the reviews on the "Mama Knows Books" blog to tell you more:
1.) Review of "Sex Magick: Book One of the Rune Witch Series"

2.) Review of "Bewitched at the Beach: Book Two of the Rune Witch Series"

3.) Review of "The Harvest Moon: Book Three of the Rune Witch Series"

In other news, the awesome Kat Holmes will be interviewing me at 6:00pm on October 21 about my "The Manigault Vampires" series on her "Blog Talk Radio" show. If you missed my first radio interview with Kat, here's the link. OMGoddess, we had wicked fun on that one!! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/katholmes1212/2011/02/25/kats-writing-pen
Speaking of yummy vampires, I've been working on the next book in that series. It's a novella entitled "A Vampire's Desire: Book Two of the Manigault Vampires." As of last night, four chapters are now in first draft. Woot!
I have no idea how long this one will be, but I'm guessing 20,000 - 30,000 words. Much longer than my usual novella, but you know me. I let my characters tell me how long a book will be. Ravenmoon and the ultra sexy vamp in this one (Troy Cantrell) are definitely running away it, so I'm letting them do their erotic thing. Yummm!
Speaking of hunky men, here's an update on my personal life. As you all know, July was a heartbreaker for me.
But it's funny how things work out. Just when I was at my saddest, a "ray of sunshine" came into my life when I least expected it. The fact he's a powerful hereditary Witch, a sorcerer, a poet, sweet, affectionate, very loving, sexy as hell, and a tantra yoga instructor makes it even better. YOWZA!
So don't worry about me, everyone. This Taoist Fey chick is living from moment to moment, groovin with this sexy Witch, and dancing in the sunshine.
Ah, life is GOOD....! *lusty wink*
