The SexWitch in LOVE...Alrightyyy!

Happy Wind Moon Esbat, everyone! I did my Esbat ritual in the forest at 2:00 this morning, dancing with the Fey. I gotta say it was a gorgeous full moon. We had clear skies for a change with a bright, beautiful, glorious glow to this powerful April moon. Hope all my Pagan readers and fans have a fab Esbat today, too. ;)

Guess what? I got an iPhone 4 on Friday. That means for those of you who tried to call me on Friday and didn't get a response that's because I had no idea WTF to do with this new phone. *lol*

Here's what happened. I went to Verizon to get a new battery for my LG enV2 phone. Not only did they not have one, but they also kinda insinuated my phone was a dinosaur. Yikes! It's not even 2 years old. Fortunately, my contract comes up for renewal this summer, and the guy said I could upgrade now. Cool. I've been thinking about this for a few months and knew what I needed (unlimited texting, social media app package, great camera).

He showed me several awesome phones. But when he got to the iPhone 4, which was on sale for $145 and would only add $10 to my monthly plan, I jumped on it. Duh! I never in a million years thought I'd have an iPhone so I was jazzed. Plus, it came with my choice of a free protective cover. Cool! I got hot pink. Of course. ;)

However, afterwards I found out it doesn't come with an instruction book like my LG did. Are you kidding me? This phone is like a mini computer. Gotta have an instruction book. HORRORS! Luckily, when I Facebooked about it one of my fans there works at Books-A-Million and told me about the Dummies book for iPhones. YAY! I dashed out on Saturday and snagged one. I've been programming my new phone ever since, and I gotta say I agree with all iPhone owners now: I LOVE THIS PHONE!! It's just too cool. I even downloaded the Kindle app on it yesterday. WOOT!

Ready for more good news? I heard from Alex last week while she was at the convention in Vegas, and she said the vamp novel will be on Kindle and in pdf on my site by this weekend. Alrightyyyy! So those of you who can't wait to get your hot hands on yummy Dray you only have a week to go now. *happy dance, happy dance*

Okay, I wanna talk about LOVE. As I've said before, I'm a relationship kinda chick. And a romantic. I love men and sex, and since I lost my virginity 36 years ago (good riddance! *lol*) I've had one lover after another with no breaks inbetween. Okay, I'm easy. But like who doesn't know that? *slutty wink*

Those of you who have read my Memoirs know I'm totally into lust. But guess what? Lust isn't enough for this horny Witch anymore. Surprising, but true. I got a taste of what it feels like to be madly, completely, and totally in love this year, and I want more of it!!!

True, when you fall in love you run the risk of heartache. Yeah, been there this year, too. But I have to say the extreme happiness I felt in a love relationship is something I want again.

Being in love is just the most WONDERFUL feeling, isn't it? You walk around all day with a goofy smile on your face. Even if it's raining outside you're as happy as if the sun were shining. You have boundless energy. And you only have eyes for your lover. *swoon*

I WANT MORE OF THAT!!!! And I need it. So I've decided I wanna be in love for the rest of my life. Because the last few years have been very stressful for me with the messes several Alpha men have made in my life I've decided to treat myself. "A Vampire's Kiss" is Finished!! YAY!!!

At 5:00pm on Wednesday evening I finished the final edit on the vamp novel. And by 6:30pm I finished all the ebook stuff that needed to go with it and emailed it to Alex. WOOT!

What did I do after that? Mostly I was in shock and kinda numb. And then I cried. Well, I am a girl. Duh. And we tend to do that. But don't worry. They were tears of happiness.

Why? For many reasons. Like I've never had to fight so hard for 2 long, stressful years to finish a novel. Those of you who've been following my blog and are fans of my books know the last 2 years have been hell for me.

I wrote the first draft of this fab novel from December 2008 - February 2009. But before I could start editing it my ebook publisher went out of biz in March 2009. Shocked the shit outta of all its authors (including me) cause it was a big company. That meant I had to put the vamp novel aside to find a new ebook publisher because "The Rune Witch Series" had been under contract with that publisher, and now it had no home.

Then a few months later in June I signed with my exagent. And he had me doing so many things in 2009 that had nothing to do with being a novelist that I had very little time to edit the vamp novel. Finally, in March of 2010 I dropped him when I realized he had almost ruined my 24-year career through gross negligence. That's when I went back with Kittyfeather Press (for my ebooks) and Trytium Publishing (for my paperback books). And that's when I started working every day til 4:30am to fix the HUGE mess my exagent made out of my career.

You may not realize this, but I have worked over 13 months without a day off since then. Am I comatose by now? Probably. I've also edited 9 other books to get them in ebook ASAP (The Witchery Series, The Rune Witch Series, The Memoir Series), rebuilt my career, and finally in February 2011 had the chance to spend large amounts of time (pushing myself to the max) to do the final edits on the vamp novel.

So finishing this novel means much more to me than finishing any other book I have ever written. It means this novel finally got the time it deserved. Damn, this is a GOOD novel! I swear, you will love this one. And that's another reason I cried. It's soooooo freakin' romantic and erotic you'll be thinking about it (and swooning over it) for months after you finish it. It's one of those magickal books where the characters (Sara and Dray) became so lifelike and human they took on a life of their own. Really.

Finishing this novel also means VICTORY for me. It's the last of the exagent mess I've had to clean up. And that means I can have a life now. YAY! I've almost forgotten what's that like. *lol*

It means I can take a vacation and work regular hours like a normal person. I don't have to work 7 days a week, 10-12 hours every day anymore. It means I can sleep at night and be awake during the day like a normal person. In fact, I wanna start crashing at midnight, so I can get up at 9:00am and actually see the sun for a change. Wow, imagine that? A new experience for me. *lol*

Plus, as many of you know, my personal life hit the skids in 2010. Now I have the time to do something about that, too. *wink*

So I went through a wide range of emotions when I finished this book on Wednesday. Shock. Tears. Numbness and more shock. Extreme joy. You name it!

Alex is out of town this week, speaking at a big convention. But she's put the vamp novel on her schedule, and it will go live in the Kindle Store the last week of April or the first week of May (at the latest). She knows there's a BIG rush on this one, cause I get emails every day from many of you wanting to know when this one will be on sale??? Now I can say ->> Soon! Very soon!

Speaking of that, when it's published in the Kindle Store and in pdf on my site it will be priced at $0.99. Dontcha love me?!! *lol*

Big Announcement!!

I'm so close to finishing the vamp novel that I've made a decision. Rather than working on it during my usual writing schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) I'm gonna start tonight (Sunday) and make every day this week a writing day til I finish it. That means I will probably finish it by the end of this week.

Yeah, I'm that close. WOOT!

So as of tonight you won't be hearing much from me this week. I'll keep Twitter open for those times when I need a break. But my Facebook, Witchbook, PaganSpace, and Pagan-Playground friends won't hear from me til next weekend.

The Vamp Novel is Almost Finished. WOOT!

That's right. I finished final edits on Chapter 34 this morning, and now I'm editing the last two chapters. Yay! Then I'll do one final edit of the entire novel to make sure all my details jive and to check for any typos I might have missed. After that it's DONE! Next I'll send it to Alex to do her magick in book design for Kittyfeather Press. And that's it! So look for yummy Dray to go live in the Kindle Store and in pdf on my site the first week of May.

Another reason I'm a happy chick today is because I'm my frisky self again. The pollen has been HORRIBLE in Columbia the last two weeks. Add to that lots of wind we usually don't have this time of year. I dashed out to the post office on Monday and must have picked up some pollen spores cause I felt a nasty sinus thingy trying to jump on me Monday afternoon.

HORRORS!

What did I do? I attacked it! That crud should know better than to fuck with the SexWitch. Hey, I can't get sick. I've got a vamp novel to finish, ya know? *lol* So I drank 3 bottles of Airborne, jogged an extra half mile to get my bod temp up, did extra sorcery exercises to keep my bod temp up, then nuked myself with two Benedryl, and crashed early. Instead of sleeping nude like I usually do I bundled up in fleece from the neck down to keep my bod temp high enough to make me sweat. I woke up Tuesday afternoon feeling much better. Did the same treatment on Wednesday and woke up this afternoon 100% healed. Yay!

I also didn't travel into the spirit realms those two days for wild monkey sex cause that uses up a LOT of energy, and I needed it for healing. But the SexWitch is 100% today, so I'll be back in the spirit realm early Friday morning for extreme naughtiness with my hunky Fey guy. *lusty wink*

BTW, I wanna say a BIG thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes and cards for my 54th birthday last Saturday. WOW. On Facebook alone there were over 250 birthday postings and comments on both my profile and fan pages. Twitter and my email were flooded with birthday wishes as well. I swear, I have the best friends/fans/readers in the world. As you know, the last few weeks have been kinda rough for me in my personal life. All the love you poured out last weekend meant the world to me, and I just wanted you to know you totally ROCK!!!!

Oh, How I Love to Jog!!

If you know me, chances are you know I'm addicted to jogging. Sometimes when I'm in the crunch zone, working like a crazy woman to meet my next book deadline, the time I take to jog every night before dinner is the only break I get.

I usually run 2 miles every day, 5 days a week for a total of 10 miles. I run 3 days in a row and then take a day off. Then 2 days and take another day off. I always knew I could do 3 miles per day, but wanted to work up to it slowly so I wouldn't get an injury. Sure enough last month I decided to try it, and 3 miles was a piece of cake.

Then a jogging friend of mine who runs 10 miles every day, 7 days a week (OMG, you should see his hunky bod! *lusty wink*) told me I should run every day, too. He said my legs would feel better cause the oxygen and increased circulation would stay in those muscles. I thought he was crazy. But a few weeks ago I decided to try it, and you know what? He's right. My legs feel much better, and there's no stiffness to work out the first quarter mile like there usually is when I take a day off my jogging schedule.

So now I'm back to running 2 miles every day. Only I'm running 7 days a week for a total of 14 miles and loving it!

In fact I've had to be careful to eat enough cause I dropped to 119 pounds when I started running 7 days a week. I try to stay around 120-123 cause at 5'9" I don't wanna weigh any less than that. I also drink a vegan protein shake twice a day to make sure I get enough protein since my requirement tripled when I got over 10 miles a week in my running. I'm a vegetarian, and we have to be careful about that. lol

Now to get extra calories every day I just make the protein shakes thicker. And they're chocolate. And they're reallllllllly tasty.
