The Vamp Novel is Almost Finished. WOOT!

That's right. I finished final edits on Chapter 34 this morning, and now I'm editing the last two chapters. Yay! Then I'll do one final edit of the entire novel to make sure all my details jive and to check for any typos I might have missed. After that it's DONE! Next I'll send it to Alex to do her magick in book design for Kittyfeather Press. And that's it! So look for yummy Dray to go live in the Kindle Store and in pdf on my site the first week of May.

*happy dance, happy dance*

Another reason I'm a happy chick today is because I'm my frisky self again. The pollen has been HORRIBLE in Columbia the last two weeks. Add to that lots of wind we usually don't have this time of year. I dashed out to the post office on Monday and must have picked up some pollen spores cause I felt a nasty sinus thingy trying to jump on me Monday afternoon.

HORRORS!

What did I do? I attacked it! That crud should know better than to fuck with the SexWitch. Hey, I can't get sick. I've got a vamp novel to finish, ya know? *lol* So I drank 3 bottles of Airborne, jogged an extra half mile to get my bod temp up, did extra sorcery exercises to keep my bod temp up, then nuked myself with two Benedryl, and crashed early. Instead of sleeping nude like I usually do I bundled up in fleece from the neck down to keep my bod temp high enough to make me sweat. I woke up Tuesday afternoon feeling much better. Did the same treatment on Wednesday and woke up this afternoon 100% healed. Yay!

I also didn't travel into the spirit realms those two days for wild monkey sex cause that uses up a LOT of energy, and I needed it for healing. But the SexWitch is 100% today, so I'll be back in the spirit realm early Friday morning for extreme naughtiness with my hunky Fey guy. *lusty wink*

BTW, I wanna say a BIG thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes and cards for my 54th birthday last Saturday. WOW. On Facebook alone there were over 250 birthday postings and comments on both my profile and fan pages. Twitter and my email were flooded with birthday wishes as well. I swear, I have the best friends/fans/readers in the world. As you know, the last few weeks have been kinda rough for me in my personal life. All the love you poured out last weekend meant the world to me, and I just wanted you to know you totally ROCK!!!!

Oh, How I Love to Jog!!

If you know me, chances are you know I'm addicted to jogging. Sometimes when I'm in the crunch zone, working like a crazy woman to meet my next book deadline, the time I take to jog every night before dinner is the only break I get.

I usually run 2 miles every day, 5 days a week for a total of 10 miles. I run 3 days in a row and then take a day off. Then 2 days and take another day off. I always knew I could do 3 miles per day, but wanted to work up to it slowly so I wouldn't get an injury. Sure enough last month I decided to try it, and 3 miles was a piece of cake.

Then a jogging friend of mine who runs 10 miles every day, 7 days a week (OMG, you should see his hunky bod! *lusty wink*) told me I should run every day, too. He said my legs would feel better cause the oxygen and increased circulation would stay in those muscles. I thought he was crazy. But a few weeks ago I decided to try it, and you know what? He's right. My legs feel much better, and there's no stiffness to work out the first quarter mile like there usually is when I take a day off my jogging schedule.

So now I'm back to running 2 miles every day. Only I'm running 7 days a week for a total of 14 miles and loving it!

In fact I've had to be careful to eat enough cause I dropped to 119 pounds when I started running 7 days a week. I try to stay around 120-123 cause at 5'9" I don't wanna weigh any less than that. I also drink a vegan protein shake twice a day to make sure I get enough protein since my requirement tripled when I got over 10 miles a week in my running. I'm a vegetarian, and we have to be careful about that. lol

Now to get extra calories every day I just make the protein shakes thicker. And they're chocolate. And they're reallllllllly tasty.

  1. Congratulations on finishing the new book; I cannot wait to check it out. I recently had to start running more and taking in LESS protein. Why is that weird? Well, I am a vegetarian...it is not too often that we take in too much protein.
